Loose and comfortable clothing allows the physiotherapist to assess and treat the problem area - you may find shorts and gym clothes helpful. The therapist will explain the areas that need to be exposed and the clothing, if any, that would need to be removed to carry out the assessment effectively.

No; you may consult a physiotherapist without a referral from your GP although during your treatment communication between the physiotherapist and GP is

encouraged for your benefit. This will only be done with your consent.
